I heard a very old legend of
Mell'arpag (giant), and it is told
like this;
Mell'arpag had four stone-balls.
When he was juggling these four stone-balls,
one rose very high up into the air.
This very high stone-ball collided with
another which caused other stone-balls
to disperse to different locations around
Nunivak Island; One landed on a small isle
at southern Nunivak Island, another landed
to Ciguralegmiut at Cape Mendenhall,
another to Talungmiut at the west coast and
the fourth landed to a small isle at Aqitumiut.
