| At 1,625 sq miles (4,210 sq km) Nunivak Island is the
8th largest Island in the United States; the 7th largest in Alaska
(Kodiak Island is the largest Alaskan Island at 3,672 sq miles/9,510
sq km), and the 2nd largest island in the Bering Sea (St. Lawrence
is the largest Bering Sea Island at 1,710 sq miles/4,430 sq km). For
comparison, Long Island New York, the largest island in the continental
