February 20, 2005 - Begin developing and posting web pages.
March - June , 2005 - Archival and web research related to Bering Sea subsistence cod fishing and Nunivak history and historical photos. Begin compiling bibliography and Cup'ig Subsistence Fish Glossary.
June 13 - 18 , 2005 - Project leaders meet in Mekoryuk.
- Develop commercial survey form.
- Conduct traditional knowledge interviews and historic photo review with four elders.
- Take scoping and photography excursion to fishcamp at Nunarrlugarmiut.
- One fisher reports catching 34 Pacific Cod, 4 Black Cod and 4 Halibut in one set north of Miqsarmiut.
June 20, 2005 - Begin transcription and summary of oral history interview tapes.
July 13, 2005 - Update web pages and post historical photos with identifications provided during June site visit.
August 19, 2005 - Update web pages and post recent photographs and narrative by Rie Munoz relating to 1960 Mekoryuk reindeer roundup.
October 21, 2005 - Conduct traditional knowledge interviews with Henry and Hilma Shavings at AFN in Fairbanks.

December 1, 2005 - First year project report submitted to USF&WS. Read the results.
December 5 - 9, 2005

- Project leaders meet in Mekoryuk.
- Conducted inventory of NPT archive (video and audio tapes, photographs, publications, picture writings and manuscripts.
- Conduct traditional knowledge interviews with four elders, Susie (Apurin) Shavings, Joe (Tanqerralzria) David, Ida (Icaran'in) Wesley, and Nancy (Laakautarkar) Edwards. Interview summaries and/or transcriptions will be posted later.
- Project leaders review tape and transcript of June 2005 interview conducted with George and Helen Williams.
- Project leaders meet and discuss historical sites plan and plans for construction of cultural center with IRA Council President.
- Identify additional elders to interview regarding traditional use of Pacific cod.
- Identify photos from NPT collection specific to Pacific cod and fish processing.

December 13, 2005 - update website and process trip photos.
